As guests, we want you to feel at ease in our home, in the knowledge that we are doing everything in our power to ensure your safety and protection during this pandemic. As such, we have adjusted our practices to minimise the risk of virus contraction within the guest house. These practices are in place to maximise your safety and that of all of our guests and we are working hard to ensure your stay remains comfortable and enjoyable.
You will complete an electronic registration form prior to arrival, to comply with the Scottish Government guidelines of Track and Trace.
Your check-in welcome will be done while adhering to social distancing, with the electronic registration form and guest information having been provided prior to your arrival.
Room keys and front door keys will be sanitised and bagged before your arrival to maximise sanitation on the surface of room keys.
Each room will be thoroughly ventilated, cleaned and sanitised to government COVID-19 guidelines and immediately locked upon the completion of this, to ensure only the guests of each room enter following sanitation.
Staff wear the Government recommended PPE when cleaning and preparing all rooms.
At breakfast time gloves and masks areworn when preparing and serving food.
You will notice that windows and doors are open wherever possible.
As per Government guidelines this increases the air flow and minimizes the possibility of virus transfer.
Our cleaning has been significantly heightened, both in frequency and scope to ensure the highest standards of covid-19 safety.
We are using bactericide cleaners and viricidal disinfectants as per Government guidelines being effective to kill corona virus.
In all communal spaces (hallway, staircase, guest lounge, dining room) there is an emphasis on high contact surfaces, including counters, switches, buttons, door handles, handrails, dining surfaces and seating areas.
Antibacterial hand gel is situated in the entrance hallway and the top of the stairs, please use before entering the communal areas.
Bedroom cleaning and sanitising emphasis is on high contact areas such as desks, chairs, remote controls, doors and doorknobs, windows, lamps, light switches, clothes hangers.
Bathroom drains are cleaned and disinfected after each departure.
Crockery is removed and washed after each departure, regardless of whether or not they have been used.
All linen and towels are removed from rooms and replaced on check out and room amenities sanitised.
The daily servicing of bedrooms is currently suspended to minimise contact and in turn maximise both your and our safety. Replenishment or addition of room items is readily available on request.
To comply with physical distancing and capacity requirements, breakfast time during your stay must be pre-booked.
High contact areas, including door handles, counters and associated equipment, are fully sanitised prior to you dining. Breakfast tables and chairs are sanitised after each use. Linen napkins and cutlery are sanitised and sealed prior to guest use.
All table linen is laundered after each use. All plates, cutlery and breakfast crockery are rinsed and placed through our dishwashers where they are washed and sanitised to comply with food safety regulations. Condiments are now served in sealed packets.
Buffet and self-serve food and drink options are currently not displayed but items are still available. Breakfast is strictly table service and pre-packed food items only. New layout and seating capacity ensures compliance with physical distancing measures.
We are also offering in-room dining at no extra cost, if this makes you feel more comfortable. The service is restricted to delivery to the bedroom door. Our only ask is that you place your breakfast tray outside your room when finished.
Please ensure you wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and use the hand sanitisers provided in the communal areas. Always disinfect before entering and upon leaving public spaces and facilities.
If you have any coronavirus symptoms before your visit – fever, continuous cough, or loss of taste or smell, or have been asked to self-isolate or quarantine – please stay at home. We will happily reschedule your stay.
Prior to your stay you will be emailed with contactless check in details. Please follow the signage and staff direction on arrival to ensure physical distancing.
It is essential you advise us straight away should you feel unwell. As per Government guidelines, if you are able to leave, you will be asked to return home immediately. If this isn’t possible, e.g. if you are too unwell we will ask you to self-isolate in your room. We will contact NHS Scotland and advise of the procedure to follow. We will then evoke Track and Trace procedures.
We also kindly ask that you contact us if you have any symptoms of the virus within 14 days of departure, so we can follow the appropriate Track and Trace procedures for both ourselves and other guests.
It has been a long few months for everyone and we are delighted to welcome our guests back to Park House.
All of the measures put in place are for your health and safety.
We do not believe any of the measures will impact the enjoyment of your stay with us.
Anything you do not have, just ask. We are always here for you.
